Description
In this project you'll learn how to create a research / development proposal. For PhD students, this will help you plan a research project, get ready for 2nd year presentations; and apply for funding like NSF graduate student fellowships. For masters students, this will help you prepare for a masters project, create project proposals for schools or industry. In this project, you are learning how to make arguments for your work.
In this first assignment you will be sketching out the big pieces of your argument and practice getting/giving critique to your peers.
Sketch the Argument will show you how to do that. You have a folder on the LS 403 google drive with a pre-made template for you in a google doc. Remember to use the argument canvas to record your sketch -- make sure you don't write more than can fit on an 8x11 sheet!
Once you finish your argument, upload it here.
Then create a critique session here an get one of your peers to critique it (and don't forget to give feedback to one of your peers as well!)
