Policy memos at the Roosevelt Network are centered around our 10 Ideas Journals, a
national publication of 2-page proposals by undergraduate students. Six journals are published each year, and each journal includes the top ten policy briefs from each category. The policy categories include Equal Justice, Healthcare, Environment and Energy, Education, Defense and Diplomacy, and Economic Development.
Follow this process guide to write an effective policy brief for the 10 Ideas Competition. The Roosevelt website also has information on the 10 Ideas Journals, including a writing guide that lays out that format and is the current go-to teaching tool.
By following this guide, expect to commit between 30-40 hours to complete the policy brief.
After you complete any trainings, please complete this survey.
