Interviews will give us a better journey map to find out major pain points in the caregiver experience (4 tasks)
Evaluating the feasibility of different formats of the solution (4 tasks)
Interviews will provide an average rating of proposed ideas to help us pick a direction (4 tasks)

Are we on track to complete our sprint goal?
Yes

What is our biggest confusion(s) or blocker(s)? Who or what might be able to help us?
- Being too detail-oriented
- Deciding on how we want to present the website
- Putting content on the website

Other people can help us by answering questions about our prototypes, but mostly we have to figure it out ourselves.

Nicholas Paredes

Hello,
Would anybody like to talk to Kelly or myself today? We can be available after 1:00 pm.
Thanks,
Nicholas

Kristen Stuzynski - Today we are coming up with lots of prototypes and then visiting a design firm with the studio in the afternoon. It would be helpful to meet in person early next week. Will you both be here for the coaches meeting on Tuesday at 10:00am?

Nicholas Paredes - Yep! I will be. I’ll let Kelly chime in.

Kelly Costello - That works. Let's aim for Tuesday, then.

- High moral
- Been getting a lot done recently
- Good team chemistry
- Sense of direction

What are we doing less well?
- Focusing leading to less velocity
- We didn't have a common goal

What measurable changes will we make to improve?
- Set time constraints
- Make a list of questions that need to be answered
- Formulate a common goal when going into an exercise

Hello! How is it going?

Kristen Stuzynski - Hi! We are preparing for a crit session right now. We just got some survey results and found that most of the people really couldn't use smart phones or computers. Maybe we are still looking at patients who are very severe? We also decided we want to pick one of the 5 ways (fun, personalized, goal oriented, simple, progress-display) of motivation that we identified for our final design but don't know which one yet.

Nicholas Paredes - Awesome. That is probably helpful if you ultimately hope to move into more disadvantaged communities. Much of our lives will never be digital. Being obvious, and present in the lives of patients is probably more powerful. I think that you can find something that combines those qualities.

Kristen Stuzynski - That feedback was really helpful and reassuring. We can send you an update after the crit session.

What is our biggest confusion(s) or blocker(s)? Who or what might be able to help us?
1. Defining mild/moderate stroke patients and access to those patients
--> Dr. Roth? ask Crit? reach out to coaches?

What is our biggest confusion(s) or blocker(s)? Who or what might be able to help us?
Biggest blockers:

- If we decide on Access rather than Tracking it would possibly be solving a separate problem.
- Are the caregivers we're talking to representative of all caregivers?
- We could get non-decisive information from our interviews
- We might not be able to get professional information incorporated into our research

Who can help?:

- More interviews with caregivers
- Clinicians giving us information on their experiences with tracking and access.
- We can ask more specific questions in our interviews

Nicholas Paredes - Your caregivers will not be representative of all caregivers. You are looking for the characteristics of specific segments of the population, so that you can make an impact on them. This is why IDEO likes to interview edge cases — people who are extreme users of a product or service.

Rather than decision, you are looking for insight from the participants of your interviews. Hopefully, you will hear about specific problems or challenges that you can begin to address. Ratings will probably be the weakest aspect of the feedback.

What are we doing well?
-Productive brainstorming sessions
-Effective communication
-Helpful interviews
-Good division of work
-Good at recognizing assumptions

What are we doing less well?
-Documenting information - we are not learning as much and are getting ahead of ourselves

What measurable changes will we make to improve?
-Create an icebox - write down ideas that come up before developing them all the way

Nicholas Paredes

Hello,
I will be available to have a call tomorrow. I can also arrange to meet on Friday if desired. I will let Kelley weigh in on her availability.
Thanks.

Kristen Stuzynski - Thank you! A doctor offered to meet with us tomorrow at 10:30am. We are planning to send half of the team to interview and half to stay back for the coaches meeting. I apologize that we will not all be there.

If it would be easier for you both to schedule a different time, please let us know. We are flexible.

Nicholas Paredes - If you think that it’s important for you all to be at the interview, I would go and reschedule with us. We need to be flexible.

Sarah Venetianer - We really only need two people at the interview tomorrow, so if both you and Kelly are available for a coaches meeting tomorrow as well, we can still go with the original time. Let us know if this is okay.

Nicholas Paredes - I will be good that time. Shall I add a dial in? We can also do Google Groups.

Sarah Venetianer - If you have a Skype, that works best. If not, we can do Google Hangout. Thank you!

Nicholas Paredes - Google Hangout please!

Sarah Venetianer - Great. Connect with: kristenstuzynski2018@u.northwestern.edu.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Kelly Costello - I need to join remotely as well. Who is sending out the Google Hangout link?
