Hello everyone!

I just want to make a quickly update about our project as well as other activities our group is currently involved.

First of all, we have been improving our NYU Safe App based on the feedback and suggestion that we got from our previous tests. We believe that we will have a new, and improved, version of it by next week. Secondly, we worked on building an improved prototype for our Travel Buddy Website. You can see some pictures on the Files tab. Now, we are conducting some trial tests within our club members to get their feedback.

Furthermore, we are organizing an ideation NY Meetup for the OpenIDEO challenge of financial empowerment. Here you can find more information about the challenge:
https://openideo.com/challenge/financial-empowerment-challenge/brief

We believe this would be of great benefit for our community. And we would be glad if you could participate or share the event with your contacts that might be interested.

Hello everyone!

Well, after a wonderfully hectic time with rendering the video is done. Please excuse my novice ability with video craft, but I think the video got our point across. Without further ado, click the link below for the video

Guys I made a survey to test out what people might think about the interview idea. If you have not read the interview (or are not on our team) and would like to take it to see how you yourself feel about this approach please take it! Links to everything are below, and please do not share the interview with anyone.

1) What did we accomplish in the last week?
Last week we conducted the 'Hack your way to safety' Hackathon at NYU. We got a great response from the participants. We narrowed down to two very amazing ideas, which we are working on. These ideas are an emergency response app and a travel buddies website.

2) What will we accomplish in the next week?
For the next week we are planning to test our main assumptions. We are prototyping them as both a digital prototype, as well as low fidelity physical prototype. We are combining this with a survey both online and offline, as well as interactive engagements with students of the NYU community.

3) What obstacles are impeding us from accomplishing our tasks?
The main obstacle is getting full support from the community and administration, making them aware and actively participate to help solving the problem. This is essential for us to test our assumptions and understand their necessities.

4) What are the big decisions we are making right now?
The main decision is to come out with the features that the prototype should have and various ways to reach out the maximum possible potential users during the assumptions test.

5) What was a high point and a low point of the week?
The high point of the week was the two brilliant ideas generated during the Hackathon. The low point was that more than 50 people registered for the Hackathon, but only 20 showed up.
