Aaa -- I really want to comment onto the design canvas. Claire: moving forward you might want to specify the users a bit more - you probably know this, but here are my thoughts anyway. You can do so on at least 2 dimensions:
a) Stipulating different types of stakeholders (and think broad initially here, then scale back -- so beyond students, teachers, facilitators, employees might also use badges, university might be scared of badges because it could be used as a form of accreditation)
b) Give a bit more details about the important stakeholders -- DFA students and RI students have a number of common characteristics.
